What grades does Nations offer?
School of the Nations is Guyana’s premier private school for boys and girls and serves students aged three through Grade 12. To start Pre-Kindergarten, students must be three-years-old by September 15; to start Kindergarten, students must be five-years-old by September 15. The Primary School is comprised of Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 6; the Middle School includes Grades 7 through 9; the High School houses Grades 10 and 11; and the 6th Form College houses Grade 12.
What is the average class size?
At Nations, we believe it is critical that each student is deeply known by his or her teachers and community—personality, gifts, and opportunities for growth. In order to ensure that students learn at the edge of their comfort zone, Nations average class size is 25 students.

Where is Nations located?
In the heart of Georgetown at 41-42 New Market Street. We are 200m east of the Demerara River, 1 km south of the Atlantic Ocean, within 100m of the British High Commission and 200m of State House (the home of Guyana’s President).
Where do graduates of Nations attend college?
Nations’ students have studied at a large swatch of universities and colleges in the United States of America, Canada and throughout Europe. Some students go on to study at the University of Guyana while others transition to Nations University.
When is the admission deadline?
Nations will allow students to join throughout the year once there is space available in the class. Our school year commences in September and hence we prefer to have students complete their application process in July/August.
Will my child need to wear a uniform?
Yes, all students at Nations wear a uniform. The uniforms are different depending on the child’s age.
The purpose of the uniform is twofold. First, the uniform code is to instill in students a proper sense of formal grooming and presentation. Second, since Nations’ students come from many cultures and all walks of life, the uniform serves to equalize socioeconomic status and cultural background.
